We want you to know that you are not buying from a faceless internet business.  Nok On Wood is a family run enterprise that was established in 2006.  It developed out of the recognition that there are many more wooden toys available than are generally seen in our high street stores, and to our delight we have discovered just how popular they still are with young and old alike.

Despite being an internet business we hold strong to traditional values and strive to offer you the type of service you would expect from a small local shop.  Our range of products is constantly being developed to include items that suit every pocket and provide interest for children of all ages.  We aim to make our store your favourite place to shop and hope to offer more than just an online shopping experience by providing additional resources to help support you in making the best choices for the children you love.

As parents we recognise the complexities of bringing up children in today’s society.  We believe that wooden toys offer children a more holistic play environment, and support the growing realisation that today’s children need more creative play spaces and gentle supportive learning opportunities.  

Like all families, we have our conflicts and we deal with the daily challenges of parenting and growing up.  What we have discovered along the way is that the support and understanding of other parents helps us to move beyond the daily trials and strive to be the best we can.  We hope that in some way we can help support other parents in bringing out the best in themselves and their children and we would be delighted to exchange thoughts and ideas with you through the BLOG .

In addition to our online store we also offer a specialised service for our local communities in the north of Scotland.  Our aim is to make wooden toys more accessible to everyone and support communities in and around the areas of Moray, Inverness, Strathspey and Aberdeen by bringing our products directly to our customers through our ‘Exclusive Home Party’ service or by taking a Nok On Wood stall to local community events.  We are particularly keen to support local fundraising initiatives where we can.  For more details please visit our Events page.
